Design Engineering
We have a capable staff ready to concept and design the tooling applications and special machines you need. Our designers have a broad range of expertise to put to work for you in various applications of special machines such as but not limited to: Assembly equipment, Automated Assembly Systems, Pallet Systems, Robotic Weld Systems, Magnetizers, and many more. We can also apply this knowledge to your conventional needs such as; fixtures, gages, tools, and dies. When you have a need you will find our staff ready and willing to meet the challenge.
We document all of our designs with 3D CAD software. We can provide you with these designs in the format most compatible to your internal system. All special machines come with a complete documentation package that includes: detail and assembly drawings, perishable tooling list, recommended spare parts, preventive maintenance list, electrical schematic, pneumatic and/or hydraulic schematic, and PLC program. As an option we can also produce detailed operation and maintenance instructions including full color illustrations for visual aid. Be sure to discuss this with your Project Manager to insure we provide the best documentation package for you.

Electrical Controls
RS Tool & Design has a highly trained staff of electrical specialists to complete your special machine. In this day and age the best mechanical design and workmanship will fail without the electronic technology to run it effectively. Our team has the experience in such areas as: Programmable Logic Controllers, Vision Systems, Human Machine Interface/ Data Acquisition Software, and Servo Systems. All of our electrical enclosures are built to meet or exceed current standards. We also custom build electrical enclosures to meet your individual plant specifications.

Programmable Logic Controllers: Allen-Bradley, Modicon, G.E., Omron, Siemens, and Telemechanique.
Vision Systems: Cognex
Human Interface/Data Acquisition: Maple Systems, Factory Talk RSView, Panelbuilder.
Servo Systems: Baldor, Allen-Bradley,Intelligent Actuator Controls, and Parker.
All electrical drawings are done in ACAD 2000.

When you need tools and dies built for your pressroom you can rely on our Project Managers and Design staff to work with your part prints and Engineers to concept a tool for the job. We analyze our designs for optimum performance, rapid changeover, ease of maintenance, high wear areas, and integration into your process.
The Engineering department is supported by skilled toolmakers working with modern equipment to insure that you the customer receive a tool of the highest quality available at a fair price. Projects are documented with CAD files and technical support is just a phone call away.
